What is sunlight mode and how does it work in phones?

1. 1.  Viewing the phone screen in sunlight is nearly impossible if auto brightness is not turned on.
   2. Sunlight mode is a feature that provides extra nits of brightness when using the phone outdoors for comfortable viewing.
   3. It adjusts the phone screen brightness to strong ambient/surrounding light when the automatic brightness is off.
   4. If for example, you get 500 nits as the default phone screen brightness, you can get 1000 nits using Sunlight mode.
