1. 1. Inverter direct drive is a new more efficient technology in washing machines.
   2. Used in LG washing machines, it has eliminated the motor, pulley, and belt which are the key components of conventional machines.
   3. In conventional/older washing machines, the motor rotates together with the drum.
   4. They are connected using a belt that runs around the motor and the pulley that rotates the drum and clothes in the washer.
   5. Inverter direct drive technology has eliminated the three components and combined them in a single unit.
   6. This makes the washing machine less noisy, energy efficient, and durable.
