What is a Tile® Device and How Does it Work?

1. 1. Tile^® is a technology that helps you locate your devices such as phones and laptops.
   2. It is designed to help you not deviate from important tasks in your routine to look for a misplaced phone or tablet.
   3. The ThinkPad X1 Carbon laptop, for instance, comes with Tile^® already installed.
   4. You can locate the laptop even when it is switched off using your phone.
   5. To use this technology you first have to install the Tile App on your phone or tablet.
   6. It works through Bluetooth technology. If you add a Tile, Bluetooth will search for the other Bluetooth Tile device and establish a connection.
   7. Location information of the other device is then posted on the Tile App.
