    1. A drain pump is a device that is responsible for removing water from the wash tub.
    2. It pumps water out of the washer and out of the machine through a drain tube.
    3. The water inlet and drain tubes are usually supplied as accessories together with the washing machine.
    4. The drain pump is usually found at the bottom areas of the washing machine close to the filter.
    5. It is easy to find, retrieve and clean in case of a blockage.
    6. The drain pump is activated by turning the wash/drain knob at the control panel.
    7. You can get rid of the soapy water after washing by simply turning this knob.
